Packaging and Labeling: General Requirements
The guidelines for packaging and labeling are similar to those of other states, but they are as follows:

When it comes to marijuana products, the dispensary is responsible for placing a label on all packages that includes information regarding the product.
The name and registration data of the dispensary that produced the product--this includes the phone number, mailing address and any other contact information. In addition they must include the quantity of usable marijuana that is in the product (net weight and the percent of THC or CBD)
Packaging also has to have the date printed that the dispensary packaged the product that is being sold in addition to some sort of tracking/batch number that was associated with the manufacturing of the product.
Statements to Include
Massachusetts also has a couple of statements that must be included on the packaging of any cannabis products so be sure to include the cannabinoid profile of the marijuana in the package (subject to change per product).
A statement stating that the product that is being sold has been tested for any contaminants and that there were no findings that could suggest negligence or contamination should also be included on the label.
Finally, be sure to include this exact statement (it is case sensitive):
“This product has not been analyzed or approved by the FDA. There is limited information on the side effects of using this product, and there may be associated health risks. Do not drive or operate machinery when under the influence of this product. KEEP THIS PRODUCT AWAY FROM CHILDREN.”
