Hemp Wrap Paper Options

In the modern cannabis industry, the hemp wrap has become the primary paper alternative for smokers looking to re-create the classic blunt, but without the inherent health concerns that using a tobacco leaf or cigar wrap brings.

And with regulations prohibiting the combination of tobacco and cannabis products, hemp wraps are a major player in the pre-rolled blunt market. Hemp wrap blunts offer a tobacco- and nicotine-free alternative that continues the tradition of the slow burn, flavor, role and experience that only the blunt can deliver.

Hemp wraps are cigar-like wraps made from all-natural, THC-free hemp mass and fibers; and because they are thicker and richer than rolling papers, hemp wraps burn slow and smooth.

But classic hemp wraps do have their drawbacks, which is why Custom Cones USA offers two different types of hemp wraps in our pre-rolled cones and pre-rolled tubes: Classic hemp wraps and our special hybrid hemp wraps, available in multiple colors.

Classic Hemp Wraps

Classic hemp wrap has been around for decades, and this is what you're most likely familiar with if you've been buying and picking up hemp wraps at different gas stations, smoke shops or head shops.

But as you probably know, a classic hemp wrap is prone to drying out and becoming brittle over time. This is because it’s the water content, or moisture level, that gives them their strength.

Believe it or not, it’s the hydrogen bonds in the water molecules that keep a hemp wrap malleable and strong. When that water evaporates out, those hydrogen bonds disappear, and if you rub the paper too hard or try to twist it, you'll notice it cracks rather easily.

That’s why we created our hybrid hemp wrap, which was designed specifically for the cannabis pre roll industry and is much less likely to dry out and crack.

Hybrid Hemp Wraps

Our hybrid hemp wraps are made with a higher concentration of hemp fiber than a classic hemp wrap, and it's those fibers that give them strength. And not only are they less likely to dry out and crack, they are much more friendly in terms of pre-roll manufacturing, especially if you're using blunts in automated pre-roll machines.

That said, if you take diligent care of classic hemp wraps, such as storing them in a humidity-controlled environment, or even in a humidor, you can have great success running these classic wraps in an automated pre roll machine.

Available Sizes and Colors of Hemp Wraps

We carry both classic hemp wraps and hybrid hemp wraps in multiple sizes, including the 109 1-gram size, the 98 millimeter 0.7-gram size, and then the 84 millimeter half-gram size.

In the hybrid hemp wrap, we have three different colors available in all three sizes: brown, dark brown and green.

Additionally, we not only offer hemp wraps in different cone sizes and colors, we also have them in tube shape, available with premium filter tips like paper spiral, wood, flavored wood, glass and ceramic.

We keep all of these options in stock in both an 11mm diameter filter tip, as well as a 9mm diameter filter tip. The 11mm will hold up to about two grams. The 9mms will hold one gram and all of these hemp wrap blunt cone options are standard sizes, 109mm, 98mm and 84mm, that will all fit in your standard pre-roll cone filling machines, as well as the standard packaging you're already using, making it an easy way to use the same packaging and flower to create a new blunt skew.

We also have specially designed cartridges for the King Kone cone-filling machine that can easily pack all of these and any other custom sizes you may want with the wood, glass or spiral paper tip.
